Azienda Agricola Cieck was founded in 1985, when Lodovico Bardesono and Remo Falconieri,

both descendants of vinegrowers and wine makers, put together their experience and their vineyards. Today,

Azienda Agricola Cieck cultivates 12 hectares of vineyard on the hills of Canavese

(on the North-West side of Piedmont, Italy) and produces high quality wines  from the grapes harvested on the estate.

Cieck specializes in growing indigenous grapes varieties: the Erbaluce, the Barbera,

the Nebbiolo and the Freisa as well as the Neretto di San Giorgio,

which is indeed a rarity. The vineyards, situated on the morainic hills of Aglie,

San Giorgio and Cuceglio, have a sandy – gravelly soil type;

the Elbaruce vines are grown on “pergola canavesana”, a peculiar grape training system,

while for the red varieties we adopted a cordon growing system.

The meticulous care of vineyards,

aimed at containing the production yields as well as the invaluable consultation of  theculty of

Agriculture at the University of Turin and the great expertise of the oenologist

Gianfranco Cordero have been the premisesfor the creation of highly valued wines.

One of the most appreciated is the Spumente Brut San Giorgio, Falconieri’s creation.

Another celebrated wine is the Passito Alladium,obtained from the Elbaruce grapes coming from the Runc vineyard.

Azienda Agricola Cieck is a producer whose most advances thechnologies in vine growing,

traditional winemaking techniques and state-of-the-art winery are in synergy, producing distinctive, high quality wines.

Azienda Agricola Cieck(アジエンダ・アグリコラ・チェック)社は、共に代々ぶどう畑を所有し、ワイン造りを行ってきた先祖を持つロドヴィコ・バルデソーノ氏 とレモ・ファルコニエリ氏が彼らの持つ土地と培われてきたワイン造りの技術と伝統を集約し、イタリア・ピエモンテ州北西部、カナヴェーゼの丘で栽培される選ばれたぶどうを使って最高品質のワインを生産するという目標のもと、1985年に設立されました。

チェック社は、その土地の土着種；エルバルーチェ、バルベーラ、ネッビオーロ、ネレット、フレイザ等、他にないぶどうを栽培しています。畑のあるアリエー地方(トリノ近郊)のサン・ジョルジョ地区の丘は堆積で石や砂の多い土壌で、そこで栽培されるエルバルーチェは“ペルゴーラ・カナヴェサーナ（pergola canavesana）”という独特な方法で栽培されています。一方でバルベーラ、ネッビオーロなどの赤ぶどう品種はコルドン仕立てで栽培されています。
